To combat climate change, ALLCOT and ProYungas signed an alliance that will protect the ecosystem of the South American subtropics, a region with a strategic ecosystem for its environmental, cultural and productive diversity.
The signing of a memorandum of understanding between the President of ProYungas, Alejandro Brown, and ALLCOT, the aim is to strengthen the Protected Productive Landscapes program, which currently conserves 2.5 million hectares of the Norte Grande of Argentina and neighboring countries such as Chile, Bolivia and Paraguay.

With this alliance, ProYungas and ALLCOT will work on the joint coordination of technical, territorial, and scientific aspects to develop future projects in these regions whose ecosystems are unique and strategic for the fight against climate change.
ProYungas Foundation is a NGO that has been working for 24 years in the conservation of the environment and sustainable development, promoting territorial planning processes, actively linking production with the preservation of nature.
About the alliance
ALLCOT is a carbon project developer that facilitates the financing of climate actions, generating sustainable development opportunities in several countries in Latin America and Africa.
The alliance between ProYungas and ALLCOT seeks to link different territorial actors so that, from their different fields and interests, they can become actively involved in the sustainable management of the territories they share.
New opportunities for the region
With the best technical information available to ProYungas and ALLCOT’s experience in project development, different opportunities for the development of carbon projects in the region will be studied.
The alliance also seeks the participation of government agencies, NGOs, technical and academic institutions, companies and communities will be sought to carry them out.
