A climate neutral world by 2050
With ALLCOT’s ratification as a participant in the Climate Neutral Now Initiative, we demonstrate once again that we are committed to achieving a climate neutral world by 2050, as envisioned in the Paris Agreement.
Since 2016, ALLCOT signed the Climate Neutrality Commitment and every year measures and reduces its carbon footprint and reports on its contributions and actions. As a result of the 2021 report, ALLCOT achieved Silver rating in measurement and reduction and Bronze in contribution.
The Climate Neutral Initiative
The Climate Neutral Initiative is one of several initiatives launched by the United Nations Climate Change Secretariat seeking to scale up climate action by engaging subnational governments, businesses, organizations and individuals.
This initiative was launched in 2015 to promote the voluntary use of carbon market mechanisms recognized under the Climate Change Convention and has evolved into a much broader tool for awareness raising, capacity building, partnership development, promotion and facilitation of carbon footprint estimation, carbon footprint reduction and voluntary offsetting.
The Climate Neutral Now initiative is not a certification scheme for its participants, but a tool to promote additional voluntary climate action and to provide recognition for it.
How ALLCOT became participant
Organizations such as ALLCOT become participants in this initiative by signing the Climate Neutrality Commitment according to which they must follow three steps: Measure, Reduce, Contribute, in addition to reporting on their actions and achievements annually.
For ALLCOT it is an honor to be part of Climate Neutral Now since it is one more way to show that we are committed to help make our world a better place to live in.
