Sergi Cuadrat, ALLCOT’s Vice President of Climate Action, has been elected as one of the seven members of the ICROA Accreditation Committee, reinforcing ALLCOT’s commitment to integrity and transparency in the carbon market.

What is ICROA? 

The International Carbon Reduction and Offsetting Alliance (ICROA), an affiliate of the International Emissions Trading Association (IETA), strengthens the integrity of the voluntary carbon market by certifying exemplary practices in reducing and eliminating greenhouse gas emissions.  

ICROA’s Enhanced Accreditation Program ensures compliance with the Code of Best Practice through annual audits, supporting the effective incorporation of carbon offsetting into a company’s net-zero emissions strategy. 

The committee enhances ICROA’s leadership and governance, guides its strategy, oversees program accreditation, and represents the collective views of accredited organizations. The Accreditation Program demonstrates ICROA’s dedication to rigor and integrity by demanding best practices among compensation service providers. 

About Sergi Cuadrat 

Sergi Cuadrat, the new member of the committee, brings over two decades of experience in climate change mitigation projects. He began his career with the implementation of the first Clean Development Mechanism (CDM) projects in 2005 and received the Climate Champion Awards in 2015. Sergi has also worked as a carbon advisor for the World Bank and as a UNFCCC expert. At ALLCOT, he leads strategic mitigation actions under Article 6 and the Voluntary Carbon Market (VCM), focusing on high-impact solutions aligned with the Paris Agreement.
